--------------------Introduction
--The substance containing Si-C bond
and at least one organic group that connects with silicon atom directly
or with oxygen, sulfur, and ammonia e.g. as the linker is defined
as organic silicon compound. The majority of them is polysiloxane(PSO)
based on -Si-O-Si- backbone, which amounts to more than 90% of the
total related compounds, and receives extensive attention.
--The special structure of organic silicon
materials:
(1) Methyl groups on Si atom shield the high-energy PSO backbone sufficiently.
(2)Non-polarity of C-H leads to very faint interaction between the
molecules.
(3)Si-O bond distance is long and the Si-O-Si bond angle is great.
(4) Si-O bond is a covalent bond with 50% ionic bond characteristic
(covalent bond has directionality, while ionic bone has no)
--Organic silicon compound possesses
the peculiarities of inorganic and organic materials because of
its special structure, such as higher or lower temperature resistance,
various weather resistance, flame resistance, hydrophobic property,
corrosion resistance, steady chemical character, and electrometal
resistance, electronic insulation, innocuity, insipidity, and biology
inertness, aeration, e,g. For its various shape and variety, it
can be wildly used in the field of aviation, light industry, textile,
electronics, machine, architecture, energy, traffic, petroleum chemistry,
metallurgy, medicine, cosmetic as well as the related fields, exhibiting
its increasing importance in the development of high technology
and the optimization of the industry frame.
--According to their shapes, organic
silicon materials can be classified as silicone linking agent (organic
chemical reagent), silicone oil (silicone resin, silicone latex,
silicone surface-active agent), high temperature vulcanized silicone
rubber, liquid silicone rubber, silicone resin, composite e,g.
